Celebrating our Anniversary!

Saturday, January 30th, was our 12th Wedding Anniversary and John was able to take both Saturday and Sunday off work (now that Mr. Wynn has gone) to relax and unwind from a crazy busy couple of weeks with no break! John had flowers sent to the room, and along with the flowers, the hotel sent a beautiful 'chocolate' piece complete with chocolate strawberries! John had also made reservations for us at 'il Teatro' (a fine dining Italian Restaurant here at the Wynn). It was fun to get dressed up and go out, and the food and atmosphere was wonderful! We sat right in front of the window where you could watch the water show, complete with lights, fire, and music! I could have stayed there all night long! It was a wonderful day, and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband!
John finally getting a little down time!

Feeling spoiled!

This thing was all made out of chocolate and was delicious!

Going out to dinner...

Lost in Hong Kong

Wednesday, January 27th
Took the Turbo Jet Ferry to Hong Kong. Marlyn's Navigation skills got us dropped off at an LDS Church instead of the Temple, but after sitting down on the front steps we realized we had LDS Wifi and we found it was just a 40 minute walk to the Temple! On our way we stopped in to check out St.  Teresa's Church, and it was way cool! (Guess Marlyn is forgiven)! When we finally made it to our Temple,  it was worth the wait! The mission home was across the street, and some elders were going our direction, so they walked us to a nearby mall, where we had lunch in a quiet French Restaurant. Food was great, we checked out the mall, then grabbed a taxi and headed back to catch the ferry back to Macau.

The Wynn getting ready for Chinese New Year. It's tradition to put money in these envelopes to share with the younger generation as a wish for prosperity in the new year! Chinese New Year begins Feb 8th this year.

Turbo Jet Ferry to Hong Kong and some pics on route...
Leaving Macau...
And arriving in Hong Kong
Marlyn reloading her wallet with Hong Kong money for the taxi fares!
The LDS Church we went to by mistake, but it was neat, and we got to see that side of the city!
St Teresa's Church inside and out...

Waiting to 'confess' again, but thats expected after spending a week with Marlyn! Haha!
Contemplating which sins to confess!
Finally made it to the LDS Temple

 The Festival Walk Mall...

Ice skating rink in the mall
Wow they even had a See's Candies, and of course we had to see if they tasted different than back home!

A few pics from our taxi ride back to the ferry...

Too bad Marlyn has to go home in the morning😭 I'm sure there's still trouble to be had in China👹!
I guess all good things have to come to an end!

Making the Most of a Rainy Day!

Tuesday, January 26th
Slept in, took our time getting ready, then headed out to see what we had missed in Macau!
taxi ride to A-Ma Temple (oldest Temple in Macau)

Together we are fearless!

A few street shots as we journeyed onward!

St Lawrence Church built in mid 16th century

One who drinks from Lilau never forgets Macau

Next a cab ride to Guia Lighthouse Fortress built in 1622
Our feet were tired so we welcomed a gondola ride up to the lighthouse.

On the way back down from the lighthouse we decided to make sure we had enough exercise in!

We could get used to a life like this!
Too bad a hundred dollar Macau only equals about $12.50 US dollars!
Tomorrow Hong Kong!
